Marcos Cafu has claimed he has no intention of hanging up his boots just yet.
The veteran, who will be 38 in June, has had to be content with a place on the AC Milan bench this season but believes that he can still play his part.
A recent injury to Massimo Oddo has enabled the right-back to reclaim his place in the starting line-up and the Brazilian star maintained that motivation and a joy of playing were the secrets to his longevity.
He said: "I am still motivated and have the desire to prove I do great things even if I am 37. I don't like sitting out games."
In the meantime the two-time World Cup winner will be doing all he can to ensure that coach Carlo Ancelotti's side are playing Champions League football next season.
With four game remaining the San Siro giants are four points behind Fiorentina and the South American admitted: "We have to keep winning at all costs and if other sides want to give us a hand by slipping up then so much the better.
