LOS ANGELES (AP) - Juan Pablo Angel scored in the 78th minute to give the New York Red Bulls a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday night.

Bulls (3-1-2), who extended their unbeaten steak to four games. Alan Gordon scored for Los Angeles (2-3-2).

David Beckham received his first MLS yellow card in the 67th minute. He collided with New York's Dave van den Bergh after van den Bergh passed the ball. A cascade of boos followed the announcement. The yellow card was Beckham's first since the SuperLiga semifinal Aug. 15 against D.C. United.

In Santa Clara, Robbie Rogers scored two goals and the Eastern Division-leading Columbus Crew scored three times in the final 20 minutes to win its fifth straight game, 3-2 over the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday night.

Trailing 1-0 Rogers scored in the 73rd and 81st minutes to give the Crew (6-1) the lead for good.

In Houston, Dwayne De Rosario converted a penalty kick in the 87th minute to lead the Houston Dynamo to their first win of the season, a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on Saturday night.

Colorado's Ugo Ihemelu was issued a yellow card in the 86th minute for an intentional handball in the box. De Rosario took the penalty kick and fired a shot into the left corner to give the Dynamo the lead.

In Salt Lake City, Kyle Beckerman scored the game-winning goal in the 73rd minute and Real Salt Lake stayed unbeaten at home with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas on Saturday night.

Beckerman softly one-touched a chip pass from Andy Williams through the legs of FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala for Real Salt Lake (2-3-2), which has two wins and two ties in its four home games this season.

Bundesliga Roundup, May 10

FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - Werder Bremen thrashed Hannover 6-1 to hold onto second place in the Bundesliga, and Duisburg and Hansa Rostock were relegated Saturday.

With one round remaining, Bremen is two points ahead of Schalke and looks set to gain direct entry into the Champions League. Schalke edged Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 and will go into Champions League qualifying unless it overtakes Bremen in the final round next Saturday.

"It was a nice season finale in our stadium," Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf said.

Duisburg lost 3-2 at home to newly proclaimed champion Bayern Munich, and Rostock went down 2-1 at home to Bayer Leverkusen with both goals coming from the penalty spot.

Energie Cottbus made sure of staying in the top division by beating Hamburger SV 2-0 behind goals by Stiven Rivic and Dennis Soerensen in each half. The third team to be relegated will be decided next week and will be either Arminia Bielefeld or FC Nuremberg, last season's German Cup winner.

Bielefeld was held to a 2-2 draw at home by Borussia Dortmund, which scored a late equalizer. Nuremberg lost 1-0 at Hertha Berlin.

Wolfsburg crushed 10-men Stuttgart, the outgoing champion, 4-0 and is now tied with Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg on 51 points to have a chance of reaching the UEFA Cup.

In Bremen, the home team dominated hapless Hannover from the start. Hugo Almeida shot Bremen ahead in the 15th minute after Naldo had outplayed the entire Hannover defense and passed to the unmarked striker. Naldo himself headed in off a free kick before the half-hour, and Tim Borowski - playing his last home game before moving to Bayern Munich next season - and Ivan Klasnic, Markus Rosenberg and Aaron Hunt completed the rout with second-half goals.

Szabolcz Huszti got a consolation goal for Hannover in the last minute.

Mladen Krstajic scored with a diving header off a corner in the 65th to give Schalke its win over Frankfurt. Schalke now has 61 points, two behind Bremen, and needs to win at Nuremberg next week and hope for Werder to slip up at Leverkusen.

"We had to wait a long time for the goal. We made our own life difficult," Schalke co-coach Michael Bueskens said. "At least we still have a chance."

Duisburg was three goals down at halftime, but got some hope when it scored twice early after the break. Andreas Ottl put Bayern ahead after three minutes and Lukas Podolski added two goals inside two minutes for a big lead before the game was 20 minutes old.

Mihai Tararache and Markus Daun scored between the 48th and 53rd minutes, and Duisburg had time to try to at least delay relegation until the final round. But Bayern, which clinched the title two games ago, held on and missed several good chances despite missing its top three stars and scorers - Luca Toni, Franck Ribery and Miroslav Klose, all rested because of minor injuries.

Simon Rolfes and Gonzalo Castro converted penalties for Leverkusen to send Rostock to the second division. The last-place team got one goal back from Addy-Waku Menga.

In Wolfsburg, Marcelinho capitalized on an error by Stuttgart goalkeeper Raphael Schaefer, who fumbled a long-distance shot, to score in the 16th, and Edin Dzeko doubled the lead by curling a shot into the upper corner from the edge of the area in the 24th.

Stuttgart then fell apart and Ricardo Costa and Ashkan Dejagah added goals for Wolfsburg.

Bielefeld could have saved itself - and sent Nuremberg down - if it had held on to its 2-1 lead at home. But Alexander Frei's free kick in the 83rd bounced off the post, hit Bielefeld goalkeeper Rowen Fernandez in the head and ricocheted into the net.

The home team lead twice and still could not win. Thorben Marx scored from a penalty before former Bielefeld player Delron Buckley tied the game. Artur Wichniarek regained the lead for Bielefeld, only to see Frei's bizarre goal make it level again.

Bielefeld travels to Stuttgart in the final round.

Raffael scored the only goal for Berlin against Nuremberg 15 minutes from time.

Also, VfL Bochum won 3-1 at Karlsruhe.

Scottish Premier League Roundup, May 10

GLASGOW, Scotland (AP) - Nacho Novo scored two early goals and Rangers beat Dundee United 3-1 on Saturday to keep the pressure on Celtic at the top of the Scottish league.

Jean-Claude Darcheville scored an injury-time third goal after Mark de Vries had replied for the Terrors in the 76th minute at Ibrox Park.

Although Celtic hosts Hibernian on Sunday, a loss for Gordon Strachan's team would mean that Rangers would be only one point behind with two games in hand.

Dundee United coach Craig Levein was furious with the performance of referee Mike McCurry for refusing his team a penalty and disallowing a goal, and he confronted the official after the game.

"I said: 'What's the point us turning up here, what's the point in us playing'?" Levein said. "If there's not a level playing field and we don't get the blatant, important decisions, what's the point in us turning up?

"Anybody who is of a fair mind who watched that today would see that we had no chance of winning that. We had a perfectly good goal chalked off, we had a blatant penalty and it was a sending-off. I think he knew he'd have to send the player off and he didn't want to do it, because (this game) meant so much to Rangers."

Levein called for the league to recruit overseas officials because Scottish referees found it difficult to give important decisions against Rangers and Celtic in front of their own fans.

"The sooner we get referees from another country coming in to referee some of the games (the better)," Levein said. "If Mike McCurry had given a penalty today, he'd have been lambasted (by the fans)."

Novo headed Rangers in front from Kevin Thomson's free kick in the seventh minute and he made it 2-0 with a volley in the 18th.

De Vries pulled a goal back when he fired home a cross from Danny Grainger. But Darcheville collected a pass from Barry Ferguson to make sure of the points with a header from 10 meters (yards).

Rangers, which faces Zenit St. Petersburg in Wednesday's UEFA Cup final and is also in the Scottish Cup final against Queen of the South, now has 82 points from 35 games. Celtic has 83 from 36.

In Saturday's other games, third-place Motherwell edged Aberdeen 2-1, Falkirk beat Inverness 2-1, Hearts lost 2-0 at home to next-to-last Kilmarnock, and last-place Gretna, already sure to be relegated, held St. Mirren 0-0

Ligue One Roundup, May 10

PARIS (AP) - Lyon needed a second-half own-goal from defender Andre Luiz to beat Nancy 1-0 Saturday and maintain its two-point lead over Bordeaux at the top of the French league.

Luiz scored into this own net in the 65th to steer Lyon closer to a seventh straight title. Bordeaux kept pace with a 2-0 victory over Sochaux 2-0 on goals from Fernando Menegazzo and Marouane Chamakh, sending "le championnat" to next week's final round.

Lyon will travel to face 15th-placed Auxerre while Bordeaux will play at 18th-place Lens.

Saturday's results left Lyon atop with 76 points, Bordeaux with 74, and in third place with 63.

Nancy leads Marseille by only one point in the struggled for third place, which earns a berth in the final round of European Champions League qualifying. Marseille missed its chance to move ahead of Nancy, settling for 0-0 draw at Le Mans.

At the bottom of the table, Paris Saint-Germain moved out of the relegation zone, drawing 1-1 with Saint-Etienne while Toulouse lost 2-1 at Rennes, and Lens was beaten 2-1 at Lille.

Lille's win moved it into fifth place - and in position to claim the last remaining UEFA Cup berth, one point ahead of both Saint-Etienne, which fell one place to sixth, and Rennes in seventh.

Strasbourg joined Metz in heading to the second division next year, losing 4-1 at home to Caen to assure its demotion.

In Saturday's other matches, it was: Metz 1, Lorient 2; Monaco 3, Auxerre 0; and Valenciennes 1, Nice 2.

At Parc des Princes, Pauleta played his last ever home game for PSG and was given a standing ovation as he entered the field, and did a lap of honor as he left after the final whistle.

Fans displayed banners such as "Pedro, one more year," "Pedro forever" or "Your name is in our hearts forever", in homage of the Portuguese forward, who has scored 109 goals since joining the club a little under five years ago.

The 35-year-old Portuguese native, who has announced his intention to retire, lay motionless face down after the final whistle and was in tears as he rose to acknowledge the applause from all sides of the Parc des Princes.

Pauleta missed two chances to score in the first half, thwarted both times by Saint-Etienne goalkeeper Jody Viviani.

PSG were punished for the wasted chances moments before halftime when Loic Perrin scored from close range on a rebound after Mickael Landreau blocked Dimitri Payet's shot.

Pascal Feindouno almost added a second goal in the 47th, but his low shot skimmed past the post with Landreau beaten. PSG equalized when Jeremy Clement scored from a loose ball in the 59th and Landreau preserved the draw, thwarting consecutive shots by Bafetimbi Gomis in the 68th.

Stadium security and a small group of riot police had to intervene during halftime to separate PSG and Saint-Etienne supporters in the Auteuil end of the stadium and prevent large-scale clashes.

At Strasbourg, Julien Toudic had two goals for Caen, which also benefited from an own-goal by Strasbourg defender Manuel Dos Santos and a finale from Yoan Gouffran. Kevin Gameiro tallied Strasbourg's consolation goal.

Rennes rallied from Francois Sirieix's 11th-minute goal with an equalizer by Mickael Pagis, his 10th of the season, in the 54th and John Mensah's winner in the 72nd.

Yohan Cabaye and Pierre-Alain Frau gave Lille a 2-0 lead before Olivier Monterrubio converted a penalty for Lens in the 69th.

At Metz, Rafik Saifi equalized in 45th and Fabrice Abriel scored Lorient's winner in the 65th. Babacar Gueye gave Metz the lead.
