STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) - Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be examined by Sweden's team doctors on Monday after missing the Italian Cup final due to a knee problem.
The injury is not serious and Ibrahimovic is expected to start training with Sweden later in the week, coach Lars Lagerback said after speaking to the player on Friday.
"He will join us as planned on Monday, when our medical team will have an opportunity to look at him," Lagerback said. "We and Zlatan count on him starting to train with the national team when we gather again in Stockholm on Wednesday."
Inter plays AS Roma in the final at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
Sweden will face Slovenia in a friendly on Monday in Goteborg before continuing its preparations for the European Championship.
The Swedes face Spain, Greece and Russia in next month's tournament in Austria and Switzerland
