Flamini set to sign after AC Milan medical

MILAN, Italy (AP) - Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini underwent medical tests with AC Milan on Monday and was expected to sign a contract with the club.

Flamini spent three hours in a medical clinic in Como and the France midfielder then left for Milan's training center to continue tests at the club's in-house lab, the ANSA news agency reported.

The 24-year-old Flamini formed a strong midfield partnership with Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal, joining the London squad in 2004 from Marseille.

The Frenchman's contract with Arsenal expires at the end of this season.

At Milan, Flamini would team with Kaka, Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso and Massimo Ambrosini in the Rossoneri's midfield.
