BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Samuel Eto'o will leave FC Barcelona if it goes trophyless for a third straight season.
Barcelona, which trails Spanish league leader Real Madrid by 11 points with five rounds remaining, could face a second consecutive season without silverware should it fail to capture the Champions League trophy.
The Catalans play the first leg of the European semifinals against English leader Manchester United at home on Wednesday.
"If the next year continues like this, without any titles, I'm finished with this. I'll need to go to another place," Eto'o said on Sunday. "I want to win titles here. At Barcelona and in Spain I have reached the top."
Eto'o helped lead Barcelona to consecutive La Liga trophies in 2005 and '06, when it also captured the Champions League.
Eto'o said the absence of playmaker Ronaldinho was affecting the team's performance.
"His happiness meant the team played well. Now, it doesn't," he said.
Barcelona's dressing room has been overwhelmed with disgruntled players this season.
Ronaldinho, who was reportedly set to join Italy's AC Milan next season, has been criticized for a dip in form and his social habits.
France teammates Thierry Henry and Eric Abidal have both said they are not playing their best at the club since joining last summer.
